Pakistan’s Textile Exports Soar 20% In February 2024
Pakistan’s textile exports soared 20 percent in February 2024 and amounted to US $1.41 billion compared to $1.18 billion during the same month of earlier year.
This is the third consecutive month when textile exports posted a year-on-year increase and the highest year-on-year monthly increase in percentage terms after May 2022.
“However, on a month-on-month basis, textile exports displayed a 3.4 percent drop as against $1.46 billion reported in January 2024,” data from All Pakistan Textile Manufacturers Association (APTMA) said.
In the first eight months of fiscal 2023-24, overseas shipments of textiles like yarn, fabrics, home textiles, etc were down 1 percent over comparable period of previous fiscal to $11.15 billion.
