PDS Limited Gets SBTi Validation For Net-Zero Climate Targets

PDS Limited, a global fashion supply chain solutions company, has announced that its net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets for FY2050 have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The validation confirms that PDS’s climate commitments are aligned with science-based pathways required to limit global warming in line with the Paris Agreement.

The approval reinforces PDS’s long-term commitment to embedding sustainability across its global value chain and accelerating climate action in collaboration with customers, suppliers and industry partners. Through data-driven insights and robust methodologies, the company aims to build a low-carbon, resilient supply chain.

Under its validated targets, PDS has committed to:
• Reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by FY2030
• Reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 25% by FY2030
• Achieving net-zero GHG emissions across its value chain by FY2050

Commenting on the milestone, Sanjay Jain, Group CEO, PDS Limited, said, “Securing SBTi approval is a significant step in our sustainability journey. It strengthens our resolve to reduce our carbon footprint through structured, data-driven action and reinforces our commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by FY2050.”

Paul Wright, Group ESG Director, added, “Our targets are grounded in global best practices and supported by a clear roadmap across Scopes 1, 2 and 3. Achieving net-zero will require deep collaboration with partners and sustained investment in low-carbon solutions, which we are fully committed to.”

PDS systematically tracks and monitors Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions across its owned manufacturing facilities and key office locations. The company has implemented multiple initiatives to reduce its environmental impact, including solar energy adoption, mangrove restoration projects, increased use of recycled fabrics, and other sustainability-led interventions.

PDS’s approved near-term and long-term climate targets will be published on the SBTi website in line with the initiative’s guidelines.
