Primark To Open New Store In Parma, Italy As Part Of Expansion Plan

Primark, the international fashion retailer, has announced plans to open a new store in Parma, Italy, marking a significant step in its expansion within the Italian market. Situated within the ‘Parma Retail’ shopping centre, close to the city centre, this store will be Primark’s second in the Emilia Romagna region, following the successful launch of Primark Bologna at ‘Shopville Gran Reno’ in 2022.

Scheduled to open its doors in 2026, Primark Parma will occupy approximately 3,400 square metres of shopping space, offering the renowned in-store experience that Primark is celebrated for. Customers can expect a wide selection of fashion trends across womenswear, menswear and kidswear, alongside everyday essentials in beauty, lifestyle, homeware and accessories.

Primark remains committed to providing sustainable products at affordable prices, with 55% of its clothing already made from recycled or sustainably sourced materials. The retailer aims to achieve 100% sustainability by 2030.

Luca Ciuffreda, Head of Primark Italy, expressed excitement about the new store, stating, “We are delighted to have signed the lease for our second store in the Emilia Romagna region. This expansion aligns with our wider growth plans in Italy, where we aim to have 21 stores in operation soon. At Primark, we take pride in offering quality fashion and essentials at affordable prices, catering to everyone.”

In 2022, Eurofund Group acquired Parma Retail with plans to transform it into Parma Promenade. Ion Saralegui, Eurofund Group CEO, welcomed Primark’s arrival, emphasizing the company’s commitment to revitalizing retail destinations and creating vibrant community hubs.

Primark’s investment of €50 million in its Italian business underscores its dedication to the market, with five additional stores set to open in Turin, Livorno, Cosenza, Salerno and Genoa. Primark Parma represents another milestone in its expansion strategy, bringing the total number of stores in Italy to 21.
