PUMA Appoints Indrajeet Sen As SVP Of Sourcing
PUMA has named Indrajeet Sen as Senior Vice President of PUMA Group Sourcing, assuming the operational responsibilities of the Chief Sourcing Officer role. Indrajeet (Indy) Sen will oversee global sourcing and development for footwear, apparel and accessories, focusing on operations and sustainability, and will report directly to Chief Product Officer Maria Valdes. He will be based in Xiamen, China.
Indy, who joined PUMA in 2016 as Vice President of Sourcing and Development Footwear, previously worked as Global Quality Manager for Deichmann. “Indy has been crucial to our success in footwear, effectively managing challenges such as the Covid pandemic and diversifying our supply chain,” said PUMA CEO Arne Freundt. “His leadership and innovative approach make him ideal for guiding our next growth phase. I also want to thank Anne-Laure Descours for her significant contributions to PUMA’s sustainability strategy, which garnered international recognition.”
Anne-Laure Descours, who has been with PUMA for over 12 years, will not extend her board contract but will continue to support PUMA as an external advisor in sustainability. She plans to focus more on her personal interests while remaining involved in sustainability initiatives.
With Descours’ departure at the end of 2024, PUMA’s management board will be reduced to three members: Arne Freundt (CEO), Hubert Hinterseher (CFO), and Maria Valdes (Chief Product Officer).
