Sailuda Expands Production Capabilities With New Oerlikon Neumag BCF Plant

Chinese automotive supplier Sailuda is enhancing its production process by commissioning an Oerlikon Neumag BCF (Bulked Continuous Filament) plant, allowing the company to produce its own BCF yarns. This backward integration enables Sailuda to control the entire production chain, from yarn to finished car carpets, ensuring superior quality and consistency.

Sailuda, a key supplier to international automotive giants such as BMW, Volvo, VW and Ford, as well as leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers like NIO, Lixiang and SERES, is committed to maintaining its reputation for high-quality products. “The quality of our products is our recipe for success,” said CEO John Zhu, emphasizing the company’s strategy to diversify its product offerings and create unique, top-tier automotive carpets. This strategic move is expected to strengthen Sailuda’s competitive edge in the automotive sector.

The newly commissioned BCF S+ plant, known for its cost-effectiveness, high production speed and capacity, has impressed Sailuda with its smooth and efficient operation. Zhu hinted at future investments, stating, “The successful delivery and commissioning of this plant have encouraged us to invest in another system by the end of the year.” The company aims to secure its competitiveness by producing yarns with uniform crimp and high carpet coverage.

The growing Chinese automotive industry, particularly in the electric vehicle sector, is driving demand for automotive carpets, boosting the Asian BCF market.
