Sales Of Chinese Spinning Machines Stable Between Jan & June

In the first six months of the current year, sales of Chinese spinning and related machinery were stable due to good demand from domestic spinning mills.

According to data released by the China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) in the first half of 2023, around 3,100 carding machines were sold, a rise of 5.1 percent year on year of which 960 were exported.

In the period under review, approximately 620 combing machines were sold, up 5.1 percent as against the same months of 2022, of which 310 combers were shipped to overseas markets

But sales of draw frames dropped 8 percent from a year ago period to 2,300 units between January and June 2023, and around 450 draw frames were exported.

Roving frames sales reached 460 units or about 82,000 spindles, down 4.2 percent year on year, of which 68 roving frames were shipped to other countries.

Sales of ring spinning machines totaled around 2.2 million spindles, a growth of 10 percent. Of this figure, 270,000 spindles were exported.

In the period under review, 330 automatic winding machines were sold, a year on year fall of 15.4 percent.
