Shima Seiki To Unveil “Reborn” Tech At ITMA Asia 2024
Leading flat knitting technology company Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd. from Wakayama, Japan, will participate in the ITMA Asia+CITME 2024 exhibition in Shanghai this October. Continuing its theme from previous exhibitions, Shima Seiki’s concept for this year is “Shima Seiki Reborn,” reflecting a renewed commitment to innovation through its R-generation machines.
At the exhibition, visitors can expect to see the latest in flat knitting technology, including the much-anticipated production version of the SWG-XR WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine. This machine is a modern iteration of the original SWG-X WHOLEGARMENT introduced at ITMA Milan in 1995. Featuring four needle beds and Shima Seiki’s original SlideNeedle, the SWG-XR offers 25% higher productivity and a broader range of patterning than its predecessor, the MACH2 XS. Two SWG-XR models will be showcased, one equipped with the i-DYCS “intelligent Digital Yarn Changer System,” allowing for seamless colour changes with up to 32 colours.
In addition to machine displays, Shima Seiki will feature demonstrations of its APEXFiz subscription-based design software, highlighting the latest upgrades. Attendees will also learn about various web services from the Shima Seiki Online Services platform, designed to enhance the user experience and promote sustainable production.
With a comprehensive showcase of its products and services, Shima Seiki aims to reinforce its leading position as a provider of smart, speedy and sustainable flat knitting solutions at ITMA Asia+CITME 2024.
