Spinnova Oyj Joins ITMF As Corporate Member

Spinnova Oyj, based in Finland, has joined the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) as a Corporate Member. Spinnova has developed innovative, patented technology that converts wood pulp or waste materials—such as leather, textile or agricultural cropping waste—into textile fibres without using harmful dissolving chemicals. The mechanical process used in Spinnova’s technology gives the fibres the appearance and feel of natural cellulosic fibres like cotton.

Christian Schindler, Director General of ITMF, remarked, “Welcoming Spinnova as a new Corporate Member strengthens ITMF’s position as a global platform for the entire textile value chain. Spinnova is advancing technologies that reduce the carbon footprint of the textile industry and provide solutions for a circular textile economy. At ITMF, established companies meet emerging start-ups and scale-ups, fostering valuable discussions and cooperation. By joining ITMF, Spinnova will benefit from our publications, reports, webinars, workshops and conferences.”

Lasse Holopainen, Chief Revenue Officer of Spinnova, stated, “Joining ITMF will help expand our international network, facilitate discussions with industry peers and deepen our understanding of industry dynamics. Being part of a global platform like ITMF, which includes members from all stages of the textile value chain, is crucial.”
