SRTEPC Presents Awards To Technical Textiles Exporters
The Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) gave away awards to felicitate its members exporting technical textiles.
SRTEPC gave away around 24 awards to companies who have excelled in exports under different segments of technical textiles.
Darshana Jardosh, Minister of State for Textiles, the chief guest presented the awards to the winners, while the ceremony was also attended by senior officials of the textile ministry.
During the function, SRTEPC was also rechristened as Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL) and a new logo was also released.
Some of the leading names in the technical textiles industry who received the awards included Reliance Industries, Arvind, Welspun, Loyal Textile, Shriram Rayons, Bombay Dyeing, etc.
“The Textiles Ministry has given the mandate to MATEXIL for export promotion of technical textiles in addition to promotion of export of manmade fibre textiles,” Bhadresh Dodhia, Chairman, MATEXIL said.
“The Council will certainly meet expectations of the government in promotion of technical textiles globally,” Dodhia added.
On the sidelines of the Export Award function, MATEXIL also organised a conference on ‘Growing Opportunities in Technical Textiles’.
During the conference, there was a panel discussion wherein, captains of the Indian technical textiles segment and senior government officials presented their views.
