Sumeet Industries Commences 40 TPD FDY Production, Capacity Rises To 160 TPD
Sumeet Industries Ltd has commissioned new Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY) lines with an additional production capacity of 40 tonnes per day, taking its total FDY capacity to 160 tonnes per day from 120 tonnes per day.
The Surat-based polyester manufacturer said the new FDY lines have commenced commercial operations following successful trial runs initiated from September 1, 2026.
The capacity expansion is expected to strengthen the company’s FDY production capabilities and contribute to higher revenue and profitability, subject to market conditions and capacity utilisation.
Sumeet Industries is an integrated polyester manufacturer engaged in the production of PET chips, Partially Oriented Yarn (POY), Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY) and Polyester Texturised Yarn.
