Techtextil India 2023 Kicks Off With Innovation And Collaboration

Techtextil India 2023, hosted at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) in Mumbai, opened on 12th September 2023 with an impressive showcase of over 160 industry players presenting more than 200 brands. This dynamic exhibition floor is abuzz with innovative products and technological solutions. The event offers a plethora of knowledge sessions, live product demonstrations, and ample networking opportunities.

The presence of distinguished guests, including Darshana Jardosh, Minister of State for Railways and Textiles, Government of India, underscores the significance of this event in boosting India’s textile industry. In her remarks, Minister Jardosh emphasized the need for research and innovation to reduce dependence on imports and accelerate domestic manufacturing.

The inauguration ceremony featured notable figures such as Rajeev Saxena (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles), Bhadresh Dodhia (Chairman, Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council), and Pramod Khosla (Member Governing Council, SRTEPC now Matexcil), among others.

Techtextil India 2023 is poised to invigorate the technical textiles sector, benefitting from government initiatives and the growth of various industries. The event enjoys strong support from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and various associations, reflecting their commitment to boosting the sector and the economy.

A diverse array of exhibitors is showcasing machinery, equipment, fibers, non-wovens, filtration, masterbatches, functional textiles, composites, and more. Renowned Indian companies like Arvind Limited, Park Non-woven, and Welspun share the stage with international counterparts from China, Taiwan, South Korea, Germany, Italy, and the USA, fostering global business networking.

Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, expressed satisfaction with the event’s response and highlighted its potential to empower the textile industry.

The Techtextil Symposium commenced with engaging talks and panel discussions focused on geotextiles and India’s infrastructure. Concurrently, the 3rd edition of MEDITEX TM, in association with the South India Textile Research Association (SITRA), explores innovations in medical textiles.

Techtextil India 2023 is supported by key organizations, including the Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Synthetic and Rayon Textile Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC), and Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA).
