Teijin’s Jane Thomas Appointed Chair Of Women In Manufacturing

Teijin Ltd announced that Jane Thomas, Chief Representative of the Americas and President of Teijin Holdings USA Inc., has been appointed Chairperson of Women in Manufacturing (WiM), an international body dedicated to advancing women in the manufacturing sector.
Thomas, who previously served as Vice Chair, assumed her new role on April 1, 2026.
Headquartered in Cleveland, WiM supports a growing network of over 35,000 individual members and more than 550 corporate members across all 50 U.S. states and over 70 countries. The organization contributes to the long-term growth of manufacturing through leadership development, frontline manager training, mentoring and networking initiatives.
Prior to her current roles, Thomas served as CEO of one of Teijin’s healthcare services companies. She began her career as an attorney and partner at a global law firm before transitioning into manufacturing, where she held several executive positions in the food manufacturing industry.
She holds a bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis, and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics. She also serves on multiple industry boards, including the American Composites Manufacturers Association, WiM, and the Women in the Composites Industry Group, and is Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Teijin Holdings Europe BV.
As Chair, Thomas will guide WiM’s strategic direction and play a key role in advancing women’s leadership in manufacturing globally. Her appointment highlights both her leadership credentials and WiM’s recognition of Teijin Group’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as drivers of sustainable growth.
Teijin Group reaffirmed that it will continue to accelerate global inclusion initiatives and talent development as part of its long-term vision of becoming “a company that supports the society of the future.” Guided by its purpose, “Pioneering solutions together for a healthy planet,” the group aims to drive sustainable growth by leveraging the expertise and diversity of its global workforce.
