Textile Ministry Holds First Coordination Committee Meeting Of Textile Research Associations
The Ministry of Textiles convened the first Coordination Committee Meeting of Textile Research Associations (TRAs) at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, in the presence of Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh, Secretary (Textiles) Neelam Shami Rao and senior officials of the ministry.
The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among Textile Research Associations to enhance research, innovation and technology development across the textile value chain.
On the occasion, the Minister launched the book “ज्ञान का ताना-बाना: वस्त्र अनुसंधान और नवाचार”, highlighting the critical role of research and innovation in building a globally competitive textile sector. The launch reaffirmed India’s commitment to a research-led, innovation-driven textile ecosystem, aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
