TEXTILES 2030 Conference To Address Geopolitics, Innovation And Sustainability

As the global textile and apparel industry braces for a decade defined by geopolitical shifts, rapid technological evolution and intensifying sustainability expectations, The Textile Association (India) – Mumbai Unit is set to organise an international conference titled “TEXTILES 2030 – Navigating Geopolitics, Technology Innovations and Global Expectations” on January 30, 2026, at Hotel The Lalit, Mumbai.
The conference aims to bring together senior industry leaders, policymakers, innovators and academicians to examine the structural changes reshaping the global textile ecosystem and to chart pathways for sustainable growth and strategic self-reliance. With supply chains undergoing realignment and regulatory frameworks becoming increasingly complex, the deliberations will focus on how the Indian and global textile industries can remain competitive while responding to evolving global expectations.
Key discussions will cover geopolitics and global textile realignments, materials innovation, process innovation and advanced manufacturing technologies, as well as global sustainability initiatives that are fast becoming central to trade and brand relationships. The conference will also explore leadership strategies required to navigate the coming decade, as the sector balances growth ambitions with environmental and social responsibilities.
A major highlight of TEXTILES 2030 will be an all-women panel discussion—the first of its kind at an Indian textile conference—underscoring the growing role of women leaders in shaping the future of the textile and apparel sector. The session is expected to bring fresh perspectives on innovation, leadership and inclusive growth across the value chain.
The high-profile event is expected to be attended by around 400 distinguished participants, offering a rare opportunity for meaningful engagement with experts and decision-makers from across the industry. Known for curating contemporary themes and eminent speakers, The Textile Association (India), Mumbai Unit has consistently organised conferences of national and global relevance.
With nearly 4,000 members, the Mumbai Unit is the largest within The Textile Association (India) and has built a strong reputation for hosting events that address critical industry issues. The organisers expressed confidence that TEXTILES 2030 will provide significant value to delegates and contribute constructively to shaping the strategic direction of the textile industry over the next decade.
