Tirupur Dyeing Industry Delegation Visits Gujarat To Explore Tech Advancements

The Tirupur dyeing industry is set for a boost, fueled by recent interactions with industry experts in Gujarat. A delegation from the Dyers Association of Tirupur led by President Atul P. Gandhirajan and Treasurer B. A. Madeshwaran, visited Gujarat to explore technological advancements.

During their visit to Surat and Ahmedabad, the 28-member team personally toured polyester fabric dyeing factories, gaining insights into advanced dyeing technologies. Discussions were also held with representatives from the ‘Gujarat South Chamber of Commerce,’ where topics such as polyester fabric dyeing, synthetic fabric production and clothing manufacturing were thoroughly explored.

Notably, the team observed the implementation of an integrated steam system known as ‘Steam House’ in Surat’s dyeing units, which demonstrated the potential to reduce environmental impact and production costs. The team enquired about similar ‘STEAM’ systems located at SIPCOT and their online monitoring and distribution mechanisms.

The delegation expressed optimism about replicating similar advancements in Tirupur. The establishment of a ‘Steam House’ in the region could significantly mitigate environmental consequences. Furthermore, the team assessed the operations of a dyeing chemical manufacturing company, revealing insights that could benefit the entire industry.

Colourtex Industries welcomed members of the Dyers Association of Tirupur to its Surat facility, providing an insightful showcase of their products and developments. The members were treated to a comprehensive tour of the factory, gaining an in-depth understanding of Colourtex’s operational procedures.

Likewise, Dyesol Color Works, headquartered in Ahmedabad, extended its hospitality to the members, offering them an opportunity to visit the factory. During the visit, the members were given an exclusive glimpse into Dyesol’s operations and processes.

Gandhirajan highlighted the discussions with the Chambers of Commerce in Surat and the exposure to polyester dyeing technology. The delegation also planned further interactions with industry counterparts in Ahmedabad. These collaborative efforts are anticipated to breathe new life into Tirupur’s dyeing industry, fostering its growth and development.

Madeshwaran emphasized the significance of technological sharing, especially in areas like ‘Zero Discharge’ technology for treating sewage. This knowledge exchange holds the potential to bring substantial benefits to the industry as a whole.

The entire visit to Gujarat was planned and executed by Sureshkumar J Vibhaker.
