Trident Group Unveils Rs 2,000-Crore Expansion Plan In Punjab’s Barnala And Mohali

Padmashri Rajinder Gupta, Chairman and promoter of Trident Group, has announced a major Rs 2,000-crore expansion strategy in Punjab, reinforcing the Group’s long-term commitment to industrial development, job creation and sustainable growth in the state. The announcement was made during a press briefing addressed by Punjab’s Industry and Commerce Minister, Sanjeev Arora.
As part of the investment plan, Rs 1,500 crore will be deployed in Barnala to expand terry towel production and upgrade the Group’s paper manufacturing facilities. Additionally, Rs 500 crore will be invested in Mohali to set up a modern corporate office and a capacity-building centre aimed at skill development and organizational growth.
The expansion is expected to generate 2,000 new jobs, with a strong emphasis on providing opportunities to semi-skilled rural women, further advancing women’s empowerment in the region. The initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening Trident Group’s multi-sector presence while contributing to Punjab’s economic transformation.
