Trigema Invests In Brückner’s Energy-Efficient Dryer For Sustainable Textile Production

Trigema W. Grupp KG, a leading German manufacturer of sports and leisurewear, has reinforced its commitment to sustainability and efficiency by integrating Brückner’s Power-Dry relaxation dryer into its production facility in Burladingen. The new machine, installed in late 2024, features a hybrid heating system, an energy-efficient air-through suction zone, and a compact design, aligning with Trigema’s focus on environmentally responsible manufacturing.

With over a century of textile expertise, Trigema remains dedicated to producing high-quality garments entirely in-house, employing 1,200 workers who manufacture approximately 20,000 pieces daily. The company continues to adapt to evolving consumer preferences, expanding its organic and recycled collection while sourcing certified organic cotton from European suppliers.

Brückner, headquartered in Leonberg, has been a pioneer in textile finishing machinery for over 75 years. The Power-Dry dryer, designed for sustainability and operational flexibility, allows Trigema to optimize energy use with gas and electric heating options. The system includes an air-through pre-drying zone, utilizing warm exhaust air to cut energy consumption by up to 35%. Additionally, its compact design reduces the required floor space by one-third compared to conventional dryers.

Simone Nuccio, Trigema’s Production Manager, emphasized the importance of sustainable and efficient machinery in maintaining competitiveness. “To produce sustainably in the long term, our machines need to be energy-efficient and powerful. Brückner’s hybrid technology provides us with the flexibility to adapt to future energy requirements,” he stated.

Trigema’s co-CEOs, Wolfgang and Bonita Grupp, see the investment as a crucial step in future-proofing the company’s production. “The new dryer is easy to operate, delivers optimal shrinkage values and ensures reliability. We are well-positioned for the future,” said Wolfgang Grupp Jr.

Despite challenges in Germany’s textile industry, Trigema remains committed to investing in its workforce, technology, and sustainability, reinforcing its legacy of high-quality, locally produced textiles.
