Trützschler’s T-SCAN Gains Strong Endorsement From Indian Customers

Removing foreign contaminants from cotton remains a significant challenge, but Trützschler’s T-SCAN technology has proven highly effective in detecting and ejecting impurities during the blowroom process. Initially established in cotton ring spinning lines, T-SCAN is now delivering exceptional results in rotor and recycling applications across India.
Cotton bales often carry unwanted contaminants such as plastic, jute fibers, metal, and colored foreign particles, which can cause defects in yarn and lead to rejections. While sophisticated yarn clearers help ring spinning, their application in rotor spinning is limited—particularly in detecting polypropylene. Trützschler’s TS-T3 and TS-T5 foreign part separators address this challenge by efficiently removing contaminants, including low-contrast and thread-like polypropylene, ensuring improved yarn quality and reducing costly rejections.

Ashish Raval, Vice President Spinning, Nandam Terry
Leading Indian textile manufacturers have confirmed the proven performance of T-SCAN in real-world applications. Nandam Terry and Nandam Denim, among the largest denim manufacturers in Ahmedabad, have significantly reduced color contamination while minimizing fiber loss. “Since installing TS-T3 and TS-T5, the appearance of our fabric has improved, and we are now selling contamination-controlled yarn to high-end brands,” said Ashish Raval, Vice President Spinning.

Muthupalaniappa M., Senior Vice President (Technical), Thiagarajar Mills Ltd
Thiagarajar Mills Ltd., a major South Indian textile group, successfully implemented TS-T5 in ring spinning before expanding it to rotor spinning. “The quality of our yarn in terms of contamination has improved significantly with TS-T5,” said Muthupalaniappa M, Senior Vice President (Technical), highlighting its efficiency in removing polypropylene with minimal maintenance.

Blue Rose Cotspin LLP is happy with the performance of the TS-T3. (L to R) Ganesh Bansal (Chairman), Sawant Singh Kulhari (General Manager of the plant) Ashwani Garg (Managing Director) and Vikas Bansal (Managing Director).
Blue Rose Cotspin LLP, a hosiery and weaving yarn producer in northern India, reported zero complaints about contamination since adopting TS-T3. “The performance is excellent—it ejects all types of contaminants while protecting good fibers. The auto-calibration feature is particularly valuable for us,” said Ashwani Garg, Managing Director.

Kamal Kumar, Managing Director, Patiala Gold LLP
Meanwhile, Patiala Gold LLP, based in Punjab, praised the TS-T3 for its ease of maintenance and efficiency in rotor recycling applications, even for polycotton blends. “Compared to other foreign part separators, the production efficiency of our blowroom and card lines has significantly increased with TS-T3,” said Kamal Kumar, Owner.
Designed for maximum efficiency with minimal maintenance, the TS-T5 and TS-T3 use up to 80% less compressed air than comparable systems. Their advanced detection modules and energy-efficient operation make them market leaders in foreign part separation. With growing customer demand and repeat orders, T-SCAN continues to set new standards in contamination control and yarn quality for Indian textile manufacturers.
