US Apparel Imports Fall 16.53% To $6.04 Billion In January
US apparel imports fell 16.53 percent year on year to US $6.04 billion in January 2024. Of this, clothing imports from China dropped 2 percent and from Vietnam declined 5 percent.
This was informed by statistics released by the Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) under the US Department of Commerce.
It may be recalled that in 2023, US garment imports reached $77.84 billion, down 22.05 percent compared to $99.86 billion in 2022.
