VDMA Members Showcase Strong Presence At ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025

With 69 exhibiting member companies, VDMA (the German Engineering Federation) marks another strong showing at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025, underscoring Germany’s continued leadership in textile machinery innovation. In total, 82 German companies are exhibiting at the show, occupying about 3,500 square metres of space, the third-largest national contingent after China and Italy.

VDMA has also initiated a German Pavilion, featuring two group stands, one focused on spinning technologies in Hall 4, and another on finishing in Hall 7, with a combined participation of 30 exhibitors.

At a VDMA press conference held during the exhibition, Dr. Janpeter Horn, Chairman of the VDMA Textile Machinery Association and Managing Director of August Herzog Maschinenfabrik, noted that despite challenging global conditions, the strong German presence in Singapore is an encouraging sign.

“The geopolitical and economic conditions are currently difficult. This makes the strong participation of VDMA member companies at ITMA ASIA + CITME, being held in Singapore for the first time in 20 years, all the more gratifying. The show offers our members a key opportunity to showcase their latest technologies and connect with ASEAN and other Asian markets,” said Dr. Horn.

Dr. Harald Weber, Managing Director of the VDMA Textile Machinery Association, added that he expects a more diverse audience compared to previous editions held in Shanghai.

“Most visitors in Shanghai came from the People’s Republic of China. Here in Singapore, I expect a broader visitor profile with attendees from ASEAN, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Central Asian countries,” he said.
