Welspun USA Acquires Christy Home Inc. To Expand US Market
Welspun USA Inc., a subsidiary of Welspun Living Limited, has announced the acquisition of Christy Home Inc. (CHI), a newly established entity in the United States. Christy Home Inc. was incorporated on July 1, 2024, with a focus on trading home textile products under the Christy brand in the U.S. market. The acquisition includes 100% of CHI’s equity share capital, which totals US$ 300,000.
The deal, set to be completed by March 31, 2025, is aimed at strengthening Welspun’s presence in the U.S. home textiles market. CHI will focus on the distribution and trade of Christy-branded home textiles, which aligns with Welspun’s expansion strategy in North America.
This acquisition does not fall under related party transactions, and no governmental or regulatory approvals are required. With this acquisition, Welspun USA Inc. aims to leverage the strength of the Christy brand to capture a significant market share in the growing home textiles sector in the US.
