Yiwu In China Experiencing Surge In Yoga Apparel Orders
Yoga apparel manufacturers in Yiwu located in Zhejiang Province, are experiencing a significant increase in domestic and global orders.
The sales growth is attributed to the rising popularity of yoga, particularly among women and as these warm-weather exercise trends pick up in spring, clothing factories are seeing a surge in demand.
Yiwu is one of the biggest textile production hubs in China which supplies to both the domestic and exports markets. It also has several vibrant textile markets.
“The Yiwu textile and apparel industry has quickly adapted to changing consumer preferences and capitalise on the global athleisure boom,” the People’s Daily reported.
According to data from Yiwugo, an online platform for Yiwu International Trade Market, in the 2.5 months of 2024, sales of yoga pants and tops surged 13 percent and 10.5 percent year on year, respectively.
“Our company has received big orders for yoga apparel this year and our team is designing new styles to meet diverse requirements with hopes of securing more orders,” Wang Xiaoyan, an executive of a clothing business operating at Yiwu International Trade Market said.
