ForeBond To Unveil Waterproof Breathable Membrane At TITAS Expo
ForeBond Advanced Materials is set to unveil its innovative high-performance polypropylene (PP) waterproof breathable membrane at the 2024 TITAS Exhibition, poised to transform the industry’s understanding of waterproof breathable membranes.
In anticipation of forthcoming PFAS ban regulations in Europe and the US, ForeBond has engineered this advanced PP membrane utilizing specialized “biaxial stretching technology.” This cutting-edge material demonstrates exceptional porosity and waterproof-breathable capabilities. Rigorous testing has revealed impressive moisture permeability rates of up to 30,000 g/m²/24hrs (B1 method) and 10,000 g/m²/24hrs (A1 method), along with a water resistance rating of 38,000 mm (JIS L 1092-2009). Such results highlight the membrane’s superior breathability and waterproofing attributes. Additionally, it achieves an air permeability of up to 0.2 ft³/ft²/min (ASTM D737), challenging the conventional notion that waterproof fabrics are solely moisture-permeable but not breathable.
Beyond its performance, ForeBond’s PP waterproof breathable membrane embodies the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The production process is entirely free of PFAS and chemical solvents, ensuring no ecological harm. With a lightweight design of just 3.8 gsm, this membrane allows wearers to engage in outdoor activities and daily life with enhanced comfort and ease.
ForeBond emphasizes that its focus extends beyond technological innovation; it is also committed to corporate responsibility and sustainability. The company aims to balance high performance with environmental protection, delivering exceptional comfort for outdoor experiences.
