Indorama Ventures Showcases Sustainability Innovations At COP29

Indorama Ventures Public Company Ltd, a global leader in sustainable chemicals, highlighted its advancements in recycling and sustainability at COP29, held from November 11-22 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The company, in partnership with the Thai government, presented at the Thailand Pavilion and its booth, showcasing milestones like recycling over 130 billion PET bottles since 2011 and unveiling innovations such as the SIPA sparkling wine bottle, the first sustainable monolayer PET bottle for sparkling wine, and the OXISMOOTH emollient range from renewable resources. Indorama also introduced the first commercial bio-PET bottle in collaboration with global partners for Suntory Group Japan.

Chief Sustainability Officer Anthony M. Watanabe shared insights on the potential of circularity to cut emissions by 40% by 2050 and emphasized international cooperation on a global plastic treaty. Other leaders, including Yash Lohia, Chairman of the ESG Council, reinforced the company’s commitment to sustainability through technology and partnerships.

Indorama Ventures continues to drive progress toward a circular economy, supporting global climate action and sustainable development goals.
