Andritz Launches Recycling Line At Pacific Jeans To Boost Sustainable Fashion

International technology group Andritz has supplied and commissioned a reXline tearing system for Pacific Jeans in Chattogram, Bangladesh, marking a major step in recycling post-industrial textile waste for sustainable clothing production.
The system recycles waste from jeans cutting processes at up to 800 kg of fibre per hour, producing high-quality recycled fibres for spinning. Pacific Jeans uses this yarn to make new jeans, promoting circularity and reducing reliance on virgin cotton—lowering both carbon footprint and production costs.
Syed M. Tanvir, Managing Director of Pacific Jeans, highlighted the partnership’s role in building a responsible supply chain and the potential for post-industrial waste recycling in Bangladesh’s apparel sector.
Founded in 1984, Pacific Jeans Group is a global leader in sustainable premium jeans, committed to innovation, circularity and achieving net-zero climate impact.
