Ankur Kohli Joins Raymond Lifestyle As Head – Business Development

Ankur Kohli has joined Raymond Lifestyle as Head – Business Development, Lifestyle Brands, bringing 16 years of experience with Bata India across retail real estate, business development and network expansion.

Kohli joins Raymond Lifestyle at a time when the company is reshaping its retail footprint across brands and markets, with a focus on improving store productivity while expanding its presence in key locations.

Raymond Lifestyle currently operates 1,627 stores across more than 600 towns and cities, comprising 1,112 Raymond Shops, 463 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and 52 made-to-measure (MTM) stores. The company also has a network of more than 20,000 trade points.

The company is rationalising underperforming locations while adding higher-productivity stores. It has planned around 100 gross EBO additions in FY27, making location strategy, retail formats and mall and high-street partnerships increasingly important to its expansion plans.

Kohli brings extensive experience in retail real estate and business development to the role. Before joining Raymond Lifestyle, he spent 16 years with Bata India, where he most recently served as Head – Real Estate & Business Development, Projects & Excellence (South Asia).

Earlier, he led Real Estate & Business Development for Bata India and served as COO – Retail South. He also headed the Hush Puppies business. Prior to Bata India, Kohli was associated with Crocs India, where his responsibilities included retail location identification, negotiations, exclusive stores and network expansion.

His experience across retail real estate and store expansion is expected to support Raymond Lifestyle’s plans to strengthen its physical retail network across brands including Raymond, Park Avenue, ColorPlus, Parx and Ethnix.

His appointment comes as Raymond Lifestyle focuses on building a more productive and strategically positioned retail network, balancing expansion with the rationalisation of underperforming stores.
