India Signs MoUs With Porter, Gigin Technologies To Boost Jobs Via NCS

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Porter and Gigin Technologies to expand employment opportunities and strengthen digital job matching through the National Career Service Portal.

The agreements were signed in the presence of Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Labour Secretary Vandana Gurnani, as part of efforts to enhance the scale and efficiency of India’s employment ecosystem.

Mandaviya highlighted that the NCS portal has evolved into a comprehensive platform connecting jobseekers with skill-aligned opportunities, with over 7 lakh active vacancies and nearly 59 lakh registered establishments. He added that the integration of NCS with platforms such as e-Migrate, SIDH and My Bharat, along with state portals, has significantly expanded its reach. Emphasising the need to bridge the skill gap, he called for short-term, industry-aligned training programmes to improve youth employability.

According to the ministry, the NCS platform has registered more than 6 crore jobseekers and mobilised over 9 crore vacancies since inception, underlining its growing role in facilitating employment across the country.

Under the partnership, Porter will leverage the NCS platform to scale logistics and driving-related opportunities, targeting around 6 lakh jobs annually and over 30 lakh opportunities by 2030. Gigin Technologies will focus on enabling verified job matching through its AI-driven platform, facilitating 2–3 lakh job opportunities each year and engaging over 1.5 lakh employers.

The collaborations aim to improve job matching efficiency, expand access to verified employment opportunities and deepen employer participation through a technology-driven framework. The initiative is expected to strengthen labour market inclusion while supporting the government’s broader vision of creating sustainable, accessible and digitally enabled livelihoods.
