Arvind Expands Global Footprint With UAE Subsidiary, London Design Hub

Arvind Limited has expanded its international presence with the launch of a wholly owned subsidiary in the UAE and a new design hub in London, strengthening its global sourcing, design and manufacturing network.

The company has established Arvind Atelier (FZC) in the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone), while the London facility will focus on customer engagement, trend forecasting and product development for global fashion brands.

According to the company, the expansion is aimed at bringing its design, sourcing, manufacturing and execution capabilities closer to customers across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and the Americas.

Commenting on the development, Punit Lalbhai, Vice Chairman of Arvind Ltd, said, “This expansion marks an important milestone in Arvind’s global growth journey. By bringing design, sourcing, and execution closer to key international markets, we are enhancing our ability to deliver speed, flexibility, quality, and responsible manufacturing solutions to global brands.”

To lead the new business vertical, the company has appointed Rakesh Chadha as Managing Director of Arvind Atelier. Chadha brings more than three decades of experience in apparel sourcing, supply chain management and international business development.

In his new role, he will oversee customer engagement, sourcing operations, strategic partnerships and regional expansion across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Rakesh Chadha said, “London will act as a strategic bridge between Arvind’s manufacturing and innovation capabilities and Europe’s evolving fashion ecosystem. The idea is to enable closer collaboration with customers while supporting faster and more market-responsive product development.”

The London design hub and UAE-based sourcing platform will operate together within Arvind’s global structure. While the London office will focus on design and customer collaboration, the UAE subsidiary will handle sourcing, manufacturing integration, logistics and regional market access.

Arvind Atelier will operate as a sourcing platform across categories including denim, shirts, casual wear, knits, activewear, sweaters and essentials.

The company also highlighted its manufacturing scale, stating that its garmenting division produced nearly 37 million pieces during FY25, while woven fabric production reached around 128 million metres. Arvind’s annual denim fabric capacity currently exceeds 110 million metres.

The expansion comes as the textile industry anticipates stronger export opportunities under the proposed India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.
