Technosport Partners With PCI For 8th Indian Open Para Athletics Championship 2026

TechnoSport, India’s largest activewear brand, has partnered with the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) as the Silver Sponsor for the 8th Indian Open Para Athletics Championship 2026, scheduled to be held from May 26 to May 30 at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru.
The partnership aligns with TechnoSport’s latest campaign Real Movement and brings together over 350 of India’s leading para-athletes, including Paralympians, Asian Para Games medallists, World Para Athletics Championship performers and emerging talents.
Organised by the Paralympic Committee of India, the recognised National Sports Federation for para sports under the Government of India and the Sports Authority of India, the championship holds special significance as it will serve as the final selection trial for the Indian contingent for the 5th Asian Para Games 2026, scheduled to take place from October 18 to 24 in Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya, Japan.
The event is also expected to witness participation from athletes representing Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Philippines, further strengthening its position as a key international platform for para-athletics in the region.
Adding depth to its association with the championship, TechnoSport will be represented by two accomplished para-athletes Sujith MS and Nitin Baliyan. Delhi-based Sujith MS, who competes in the T13 category for visually impaired athletes, will participate in the 100m, 400m and long jump events. Nitin Baliyan, a T35 category athlete competing with cerebral palsy, will take part in the 100m and 200m sprint events.
Through its continued support for para-athletes across disciplines, TechnoSport aims to reinforce its commitment to greater representation, accessibility and sporting excellence within India’s sports ecosystem.
Commenting on the association, Patralika Agrawal, Head of Marketing, TechnoSport, said, “At TechnoSport, we believe sport has the power to create meaningful change and inspire real movement across India. Supporting the Open Para Athletics Championship reflects our commitment towards building a more inclusive sporting ecosystem, while encouraging athletes who embody resilience, determination and excellence at the highest level.”
Speaking about the championship, Devendra Jhajharia, President, Paralympic Committee of India, said, “Sports also acts as a powerful catalyst for physically challenged individuals to unlock their potential, build confidence, and shape a brighter future through determination and achievement. Indian Paralympians today stand as role models for the next generation, inspiring millions through their perseverance and accomplishments. This partnership with TechnoSport, who have been enablers of movement throughout their journey, is a natural fit and we look forward to a successful partnership.”
