BEIL Infrastructure Wins UPJN Contract For PM MITRA Textile Park Wastewater Reuse Project

BEIL Infrastructure Ltd has secured a contract from Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural) for the construction of a 16 MLD tertiary treatment plant (TTP) to support water supply requirements at the upcoming PM MITRA Textile Park in Lucknow.

The project includes the survey, design, construction, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the treatment facility, which will recycle treated wastewater for industrial and domestic use within the textile park. The plant will utilize advanced ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) technologies to treat secondary effluent from the 39 MLD Daulat Ganj sewage treatment plant.

The scope of work also covers the development of associated infrastructure, including pumping stations, intake wells at the Gomti River, tube wells and rising mains. Following commissioning, BEIL will operate and maintain the facility for 15 years.

The project is scheduled for completion within 21 months and is expected to play a key role in ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply for the 1,000-acre PM MITRA Textile Park, a flagship textile and apparel manufacturing hub being developed under the initiatives of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Commenting on the order, Ashok Panjwani, Director of BEIL Infrastructure, said the project reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable water recycling infrastructure and supporting treated water reuse to reduce dependence on freshwater resources.
