Winsome Textile Approves Rs 170 Crore Expansion And Modernisation Project

Winsome Textile Industries Ltd has approved a Rs 170 crore investment to expand its dye house and modernise its spinning operations, aimed at increasing production capacity, improving operational efficiency and strengthening environmental sustainability.
The proposal, approved by the company’s Board of Directors on June 25, 2026, includes the installation and upgradation of spinning machinery, expansion of dye house capacity and enhancement of wastewater treatment infrastructure.
Upon completion, the company’s spinning capacity will increase from 108,288 spindles to 110,352 spindles, while annual yarn and fibre dyeing capacity will rise from 12,715 MT to 15,972 MT. The existing spinning and dyeing units are currently operating at 93% and 86% capacity utilisation, respectively.
The project also includes upgrading the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), expanding effluent recycling capacity and improving sludge handling systems to strengthen the company’s environmental performance.
Winsome Textile said the expansion will broaden its product portfolio, enhance its ability to serve premium domestic and international customers, secure new business opportunities and optimise operating costs.
The project will be funded through a combination of internal accruals and debt, with completion targeted by March 31, 2028.
