KARL MAYER Expands HKS 2-SE Range With New Variants For Apparel And Home Textiles

Germany: KARL MAYER has expanded its HKS 2-SE tricot machine portfolio with two new variants aimed at boosting productivity and widening application possibilities for premium stretch warp knitted fabrics.

The new additions include a 312-inch working width model and the HKS 2-SE TWO in the new E 40 gauge, enabling manufacturers to produce a broader range of fabrics for apparel and home textiles with greater efficiency.

The HKS 2-SE is widely used for manufacturing high-quality stretch warp knits featuring smooth surfaces, a soft hand feel and excellent breathability. These fabrics are increasingly finding applications in smart casual, business casual, sportswear, swimwear and lingerie.

The HKS 2-SE TWO—the first machine in KARL MAYER’s new two-bar tricot machine series—features a 2 × 134-inch working width, allowing simultaneous production of two identical fabric panels. Now available in both E 36 and E 40 gauges, the machine is particularly suited for producing durable, fine-gauge fabrics used in polo shirts and trousers while delivering double the output.

KARL MAYER has also introduced a 312-inch-wide HKS 2-SE, designed to improve productivity for large-format applications such as bedding. Operating at speeds of 3,800 rpm, the machine is capable of producing soft, satin-finish fabrics with a cool touch, making it ideal for duvet fabrics and expanding the HKS 2-SE’s application range into the home textiles sector.

Available in E 36 and E 40 gauges, the new 312-inch model features an N-pattern gear drive and is equipped with KAMCOS® 2, reinforcing KARL MAYER’s focus on productivity, precision and versatility in warp knitting technology.
