Borana Weaves Secures Approval Under PLI Scheme Round 3 For MMF Fabrics

Borana Weaves Ltd has received approval from the Ministry of Textiles to participate in Round 3 of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for textiles under the Man-Made Fibre (MMF) fabrics segment in the Part-2 category.
The approval follows the company’s selection on June 16, 2026, and its subsequent confirmation to establish a separate project unit for implementation of the scheme. The ministry conveyed its approval through a letter dated July 18, 2026.
Under the approval, Borana Weaves will set up a dedicated project unit to undertake investments and manufacture eligible products under the PLI scheme.
The ministry clarified that the approval does not automatically entitle the company to receive incentives. Disbursement will be subject to verification of the company’s cumulative new domestic investment, turnover from notified products and value addition achieved in accordance with the scheme guidelines.
