RSWM, Spain’s NDS9 Form JV To Set Up Industry 5.0 Green Garment Manufacturing Platform

RSWM Limited, the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has entered into a joint venture with Barcelona-based Noize Design Studio (NDS9) to establish a design-led, integrated garment manufacturing platform in India focused on premium denim and activewear for global apparel brands.
The two companies have signed a Joint Venture Agreement to form LNJ NDS9 Global Private Limited, with RSWM holding a 74 per cent stake and NDS9 holding the remaining 26 per cent. The venture will establish what the partners describe as India’s first next-generation Industry 5.0 garment manufacturing facility, backed by an initial investment of approximately Rs 186 crore.
The proposed facility will be built around Industry 5.0 principles, integrating advanced automation, artificial intelligence, digital manufacturing technologies, sustainability practices and human-centric operations. The project aims to create a future-ready manufacturing ecosystem catering to the requirements of leading international fashion brands.
Under Phase I, the facility will have an installed capacity of 500,000 denim garments per month. Phase II will add another one million denim and activewear garments per month, taking the total production capacity to 1.5 million garments per month.
Commenting on the development, Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman & Managing Director, RSWM Limited, said the partnership marks an important step in the company’s transformation into an integrated, value-added apparel business. He noted that the collaboration combines RSWM’s manufacturing expertise with NDS9’s design and global market capabilities to create a platform centred on innovation, sustainability and advanced manufacturing.

As part of the arrangement, RSWM will be responsible for manufacturing, plant operations, procurement, quality systems and supply chain management. NDS9 will lead design, trend forecasting, product development, merchandising, sales and marketing, customer engagement and international business development through its network across Europe, North America and Asia.
Rajeev Gupta, Joint Managing Director, RSWM Limited, said the project reflects the company’s vision of building a next-generation garment manufacturing ecosystem. He added that the facility has been structured in two phases, beginning with denim and later expanding into knitwear, while incorporating rooftop solar power and sustainable manufacturing practices from the outset.
Anurag Chauhan, Founder & Chairman of NDS9, said the partnership brings together global design expertise and manufacturing excellence to create an integrated platform for premium apparel. Aryash Chauhan, Managing Director, NDS9, added that the venture will offer international brands a complete solution spanning concept development, design and large-scale sustainable production, while strengthening India’s position as a preferred sourcing destination for premium apparel.
