Candour Techtex Signs Mou With Ratanmoti Texfab For Defence Textiles
Candour Techtex has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ratanmoti Texfab (India) (RMTF), Kolhapur, for a long-term arrangement involving the coating and lamination of fabrics for applications in the Indian defence industry.
Under the proposed arrangement, RMTF will supply fabrics to Candour Techtex, which will carry out the required coating and lamination processes at its manufacturing facilities in line with specified technical and quality requirements.
The processed fabrics will subsequently be supplied by RMTF to the Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment (ADRDE), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Station Road, Agra Cantt.
The agreement will enable Candour Techtex’s coating and lamination capabilities to become part of the supply chain serving ADRDE/DRDO through RMTF. It also provides the company an opportunity to participate in the development and supply of specialised coated and laminated textile materials for defence-related applications.
Candour Techtex said the arrangement will allow it to contribute its technical expertise and manufacturing capabilities in the processing of technical fabrics, with a focus on meeting application-specific performance and quality requirements.
The MoU is also expected to support Candour Techtex’s expansion into specialised segments of the technical textile industry through collaboration with RMTF. The company is engaged in textile processing, coating and lamination of fabrics.
