Advanced Automation From Sweden Takes Centre Stage At ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 In Singapore

Members of TMAS – the Swedish textile machinery manufacturers association – will showcase the latest in sensor-driven automation, AI-enabled production and resource-saving innovations at ITMA Asia + CITME, with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency.

“Automation, digitalisation and AI are no longer optional—they are essential for manufacturers to boost efficiency, cut repetitive tasks and ensure predictive maintenance,” said Therese Premler-Andersson, Secretary General of TMAS.

Highlights include:

  • ACG Kinna Automatic (Hall 6, D106): Launching the Hector heavy-duty industrial sewing machine for filled components like cushions and mattresses. Known for pioneering fully robotic pillow and duvet production lines, the company now offers modular systems under its Complete Process – One Supplier model.
  • Eltex (Hall 2, C203): Showcasing upgrades to its EyETM tension monitoring system with electromagnetic brakes for real-time tension adjustment, alongside the ACT-R unit that cuts selvedge yarn waste on rapier looms—especially valuable for mills using recycled yarns.
  • Svegea (Hall 6, D109): Demonstrating high-speed collarette machines for cuffs, collars and neck tapes, including EC 50 and EC 200 models with E-Drive II, designed for durability, energy efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Vandewiele Sweden AB (Hall 2, D301e): Presenting its X4 yarn feeders with integrated displays and tension control for weaving looms, along with IRO Gaugepart modules for carpet tufting applications, available via its online platform.
  • BW Converting (Hall 8, B201): Building on the success of its TexCoat G4 spray finishing system, the company will unveil a new related technology ahead of the exhibition.

“With roots in Sweden and a global footprint, TMAS members continue to deliver cutting-edge technologies that give both new and existing machines a new life, enabling mills to produce more efficiently and sustainably,” Premler-Andersson added.
