Andritz Tearing Line Enhances Recycling Capacity At Buitex

Andritz has supplied and commissioned a new reXline tearing system for Buitex, part of Semin Group, at its facility in Cours, France. The new line increases Buitex’s textile waste recycling capacity for sustainable insulation production.
This second Andritz tearing line boosts fibre processing efficiency with an advanced hard-point removal system and next-generation cyclone technology for improved disruptor sorting. It can process up to 2.5 tonnes of fibre per hour, producing recycled fibres for bedding, construction and automotive insulation.
Adam Adamowicz, CEO of Buitex, stated, “It’s crucial for us to make the building insulation industry more sustainable by giving new life to post-consumer clothes. The new Andritz line allows us to enhance our recycling capabilities to meet the growing demand for sustainable insulation products.”
Founded in 1895, Buitex is a pioneer in circular economy practices, transforming textile waste into high-performance insulation and comfort products. Since joining Semin Group in 2023, the company operates a 20,000 m² production site with six production lines, positioning itself as a key player in Europe’s circular economy.
