BGBA, Air8 Partner To Boost Textile Export Financing

The Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Air8, a cross-border supply chain finance platform, to enhance access to export financing for Bangladesh’s textile sector. The partnership aims to provide BGBA members with innovative working capital solutions and insights to support global trade.
The MoU was signed on May 26, 2025, at the BGBA office, in the presence of key committee members. The collaboration underscores a joint commitment to strengthening the textile supply chain and supporting the growth of the ready-made garment (RMG) sector.
Air8’s technology-driven platform will enable BGBA members—particularly SMEs—to access affordable financing and effective working capital management tools, helping them navigate the industry’s unique challenges.
“We are excited to partner with Air8 to bring innovative financial solutions to our members,” said Md. Mofazzal Hosen Pabel, President of BGBA. “In today’s uncertain economic climate, reliable financing and expert insights are essential for sustainable growth.”
Alvin Ho, President of Air8, added, “By encouraging the adoption of tech-based export financing, this partnership will empower SME exporters with global trade insights and vital capital support, fostering a stronger and more resilient textile industry.”
As a nonprofit organization committed to advancing the Bangladesh RMG sector, BGBA sees this collaboration as a strategic move to enhance international trade and industry competitiveness. With Air8’s expertise, BGBA members are expected to gain a competitive edge and broaden their global market reach.
