Bharat Tex Expo 2024 Roadshow At Noida Cluster Draws Significant Participation

Roadshow for the Bharat Tex Expo 2024, held in Noida on December 11, 2023, drew significant participation from Noida’s cluster of RMG exporters. Over 300 members attended with great enthusiasm, expressing keen interest in participating in the upcoming Bharat Tex Expo 2024. The event featured prominent speakers, including Mahesh Sharma, Member of Parliament, Gautam Budh Nagar, Mithileshwar Thakur, Secretary General, AEPC, Anil Kumar, Director, Ministry of Textiles and Lalit Thukral, President, Noida Apparel Export Cluster.

Bharat Tex Expo 2024 is organized by the consortium of all textile related Export Promotion Councils with the support of the Ministry of Textiles. The four-day show is scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in New Delhi from February 26-29, 2024.

Mahesh Sharma, the chief guest, expressed pride in witnessing the largest global textile show and emphasized its role in realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of making India a manufacturing hub. He highlighted Noida’s significance as the showcase of Uttar Pradesh and assured a conducive environment for business growth in the city.

Addressing the audience, Mithileshwar Thakur projected Bharat Tex Expo 2024 as the world’s largest textiles show, featuring 3500+ exhibitors, 3000+ reputed international buyers and 40000+ domestic buyers. He urged exporters to seize this remarkable opportunity to connect with global textiles stakeholders.

Thakur emphasized India’s unique strengths in the textiles and garment sector, urging the nation to leverage its abundant raw materials and complete value chain in each fibre. He stressed that Bharat Tex Expo 2024 would rectify missed opportunities and position India as the preferred sourcing destination, showcasing its strength on a global stage.

President of Noida Apparel Export Cluster, Lalit Thukral, shared that RMG exports from the Noida cluster currently stand at Rs.40,000 crore and are expected to reach Rs.60,000 crore in the next two years. He credited the UP government for making Noida the city of apparel and providing facilities that contributed to this substantial business growth.

Anil Kumar, Director, Minister of Textiles, provided insights into Bharat Tex Expo 2024 during his presentation, highlighting the initiative’s goal to consolidate the entire textiles value chain and showcase India’s strength in the textile sector to the world.
