Bharat Tex Presents Major Opportunity To Showcase India’s Textile Strength To The World: Ritesh Dodhia

Dodhia Group is making a strong impact at Bharat Tex 2025 with its innovative sustainable offerings. The company, known for producing recycled yarn from PET bottles, is highlighting its latest advancements in fancy yarns and sustainable solutions for various textile applications.
At the exhibition, Dodhia Group is showcasing a wide range of recycled and fancy yarns, reinforcing its leadership in sustainability. “We are the only company to manufacture recycled yarn from PET bottles following the complete process,” said Ritesh Dodhia.
The company’s offerings include specialized yarns for shoe uppers, catering to global brands seeking sustainable solutions. Additionally, Dodhia Group is presenting fancy yarns made from PET bottles, designed for knitting, garmenting and home furnishings. These yarns mimic the look and feel of natural fibres like linen and flax, providing eco-friendly alternatives without compromising on aesthetics or performance.
Dodhia emphasized Bharat Tex’s role in strengthening India’s textile sector on the global stage. “It’s a significant initiative by the Government of India, bringing the entire textile value chain, from fibre to fashion, onto a single platform. This is a major opportunity to showcase India’s textile strength to the world,” he noted.
He believes that if Bharat Tex continues in the coming years, it has the potential to become a benchmark event like the European fairs. “With the increasing presence of international delegations and foreign buying houses, this exhibition is set to make a lasting impact,” he added.
Sustainability remains the dominant trend shaping the textile industry, and Dodhia Group has been a frontrunner in this space. “We take pride in being one of the first companies to pioneer the production of recycled yarn from PET bottles,” Dodhia stated.
However, he acknowledged that the Indian textile industry still faces challenges in value addition. “There is a gap in the availability of specialized fabrics, which are currently sourced mainly from China. But India is rapidly catching up, with companies investing in technology and expanding capabilities. Soon, we will see these products being manufactured locally,” he predicted.
Dodhia Group has witnessed an exceptional response at the exhibition, with both domestic and international visitors showing keen interest in their products. “The footfall has been amazing. At times, we struggled to attend to all the visitors,” Dodhia remarked.
While some inquiries are converting into immediate business, he emphasized that the primary objective of their participation is to introduce new products and gauge market response. “For us, Bharat Tex is more about showcasing innovations and building brand recognition. Orders and sampling discussions naturally follow from there,” he explained.
With sustainability at the core of its operations, Dodhia Group remains committed to pushing the boundaries of recycled textile production. As the industry moves toward greener solutions, the company is well-positioned to lead the charge, offering innovative and high-quality sustainable yarns for a wide range of applications.
