Chinese Textile & Apparel Exports Fall 3.12% In Jan To April

China’s textile and apparel exports amounted to US $23.934 billion in April 2024, a year-on-year decline of 3.12 percent, data from the Chinese Customs informed.

Of which, exports of textiles stood at 12.190 billion in April, down 2.36 percent, while overseas shipments of garments amounted to $11.744 billion, a year-on-year fall of 3.90 percent.

In the first four months of 2024, cumulative export value of textiles and clothing was $89.836 billion, an increase of 0.58 percent over the comparable period of previous year.

Of which, overseas shipments of textiles from January to April were $44.28 billion, growing by 1.19 percent and those of apparels were $45.55 billion, steady over the same months of 2023.
