Cinte Techtextil China 2026 To Spotlight AI And Emerging Segments

Cinte Techtextil China 2026 is set to return from 1–3 September 2026 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, with a renewed focus on artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability and high-growth segments in technical textiles and nonwovens.

Organisers said the fair continues to refine its format to foster meaningful business interactions and identify emerging opportunities across the industry. The previous edition recorded a 17% increase in visitor numbers, encouraging organisers to further expand targeted zones and industry-focused events.

The 2026 edition will reinstate the European Zone and the Textile Chemicals and Dyes Zone, both of which attracted strong interest in the past. A series of fringe events including an upgraded AI Panel Discussion, Econogy Tour and Sustainability Forum, will provide insights into technology adoption, eco-transition and market trends.

Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said the fair has long served as a platform for identifying high-potential areas and facilitating new partnerships. She noted that growing interest in fields such as AI and textile chemicals is helping reshape industry priorities and innovation pathways.

The integration of AI, smart materials and digital technologies is gaining traction as manufacturers seek improvements in quality, efficiency and sustainability. Asia-Pacific remains at the forefront of this transition and the fair aims to promote greater understanding of AI applications through curated discussions and exhibitor showcases.

Industry participants have highlighted the value of such platforms in bridging academia and industry, enabling companies to better understand market needs while presenting practical innovations, particularly in areas such as fabric inspection and factory operations.

As the Asian counterpart to the Techtextil flagship, Cinte Techtextil China covers the full spectrum of technical textiles and nonwovens, from raw materials and machinery to chemicals, finished fabrics and application-specific solutions.

The previous edition attracted nearly 20,000 visits from 74 countries and regions, with exhibitors and buyers citing strong networking opportunities and access to international markets.

In addition to exhibitions, the 2026 fair will host key industry events such as the China International Nonwovens Conference (CINC), innovation presentations and product awards, offering participants insights into evolving technologies and applications.

Cinte Techtextil China 2026 is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA).
