Countdown Begins For Bharat Tex 2026, India’s Largest Global Textile Expo

The countdown has begun for Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textile exhibition, which will take place from July 14–17, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, a consortium of Textile Export Promotion Councils and industry bodies, with support from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, the event will showcase the entire textile value chain while reinforcing India’s growing role as a global hub for textiles, fashion, sustainability, technology, innovation and trade.

Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 5F Vision – Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign, Bharat Tex has evolved into a premier international platform for business, sourcing, investment, innovation, policy dialogue and strategic partnerships across the textile ecosystem.

The third edition is expected to attract over 7,000 buyers, 1.3 lakh trade visitors, showcase 20,000+ textile products and feature an exhibition spread across 1.6 million sq. ft., creating significant business and networking opportunities.

Global Participation
Bharat Tex 2026 will bring together more than 350 speakers from over 20 countries, including industry leaders, policymakers, international experts and CXOs. Delegates from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Canada, South Korea, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Sweden, Kenya, Egypt, Indonesia and several other countries will participate in knowledge sessions and discussions.

The exhibition will also feature an International Pavilion, strengthening cross-border collaboration and global sourcing opportunities.

Strong State and Industry Presence
The event has received overwhelming support from Indian states. Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are participating as Sponsor States, while Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Manipur, Rajasthan and West Bengal will participate as exhibitors, highlighting regional textile strengths, investment opportunities and manufacturing capabilities.

More than 1,600 exhibitors will showcase products across fibre, yarn, fabrics, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles and textile machinery. Dedicated sections will celebrate India’s renowned textile clusters, including Tirupur, Ichalkaranji and Ahmedabad.

International exhibitors from 14 countries, along with organisations such as the United Nations and the European Union, will further enhance the event’s global profile. Leading industry sponsors include Trident, Vardhman Textiles, RSWM, Shahi Exports, Colorjet, Arvind, PDS Limited and Sattva.

Knowledge Sessions and Business Opportunities
One of the major highlights of Bharat Tex 2026 is its extensive knowledge programme featuring over 100 sessions, including 39 panel discussions , 16 roundtables, 37 masterclasses and 8 state sessions

The sessions will focus on trade and investment, sustainability, circularity, technology, Industry 5.0, innovation, fashion, policy, export readiness, fibre security and global sourcing trends, offering valuable insights for MSMEs, exporters and manufacturers.

The event is also expected to facilitate around 3,500 curated B2B meetings, 100+ B2G meetings and more than 20 MoUs across trade, investment, sustainability, technology and institutional collaboration.

Expanding International Engagement
Bharat Tex’s international outreach continues to grow, with ministerial delegations from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Cambodia and Brunei expressing interest in participating.

Business delegations from countries including the United States, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, the UAE, Thailand, Bangladesh and Uganda are also expected, creating fresh opportunities for sourcing, trade and investment partnerships.

Special bilateral sessions will cover themes such as the India-US Cotton Partnership, India-New Zealand Wool Ecosystem, India-UK FTA, and dedicated engagements with Japan and Russia.

Focus on Investment and Sustainability
Dedicated State Investor Connect Sessions will provide a platform for states to showcase industrial infrastructure, investment policies, PM MITRA opportunities and textile ecosystem strengths. Sessions are planned for Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Maharashtra, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

The event will also host the CITI Textile Sustainability Awards 2026, recognising excellence across seven categories, including resource efficiency, energy and emissions, circular economy, sustainable materials, social responsibility, responsible business and industry collaboration.

Digital Experience
To enhance visitor experience, organisers have launched the Bharat Tex 2026 Mobile App, offering digital registration, exhibitor search, B2B meeting scheduling, floor navigation, digital badges, QR-based lead capture and AI-powered assistance.

Complementing the app is the Pre-Fair Directory, enabling buyers and exhibitors to identify potential business partners and schedule meetings before the event, making Bharat Tex a more digitally enabled and business-focused trade platform.
