Dollar Industries Expands Margins, Delivers 22% Higher Q1 Profit

Kolkata-based Dollar Industries Ltd., one of India’s leading hosiery and innerwear manufacturers, reported a 22.1% year-on-year increase in Profit After Tax (PAT) for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by improved margins, strong performance in its rainwear business and growth across emerging sales channels.

The company posted PAT of Rs 26.02 crore in Q1 FY27 compared with Rs 21.32 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income rose 1.5% to Rs 405.66 crore, while operating income increased 1.4% to Rs 404.81 crore.

Gross profit for the quarter stood at Rs 151.24 crore, registering a 6.9% growth year-on-year. Gross profit margin improved by 192 basis points to 37.4%, supported by calibrated price increases during the quarter. Operating EBITDA rose 11.4% to Rs 47.77 crore, with EBITDA margin expanding by 106 basis points to 11.8%.

Commenting on the performance, Managing Directors Vinod Kumar Gupta and Binay Kumar Gupta said the company continued to witness healthy profitability growth while making progress across key strategic initiatives.

Dollar Protect, the company’s rainwear segment, emerged as a strong growth driver, recording 49% value growth and 68% volume growth during the quarter. The segment contributed 5.6% to overall revenue.

Regionally, the southern market delivered robust growth, with value sales increasing 22.9% and volumes rising 7.3% year-on-year. The region’s contribution to overall revenue increased to 8.9% from 7.2% a year earlier.

The company also reported strong traction in quick commerce, where revenue grew 59.4% in value terms and 15.1% in volume terms. The channel’s contribution to total revenue rose to 5% from 3.1% in Q1 FY26.

Exports remained another growth area, registering 16.2% value growth and 15.5% volume growth, with export contribution increasing to 4.9% from 4.2% in the corresponding period last year.

During the quarter, Dollar Industries commenced Phase 2 of its Project Lakshya initiative aimed at expanding retailer reach and strengthening market penetration.

The company said it remains confident that growth initiatives across core markets, exports, quick commerce and Project Lakshya will support its performance in the coming quarters.
