Ecovadis Score Puts Teijin Aramid Among Top 5% Worldwide

For the eighth consecutive year, Teijin Aramid has been recognised for its sustainability efforts with an EcoVadis score that places the company in the top 5 percent of all companies in all industries globally

The EcoVadis score also places the company in the top 3 percent of all manmade fibre producers worldwide.

“Known for its rigorous evaluation standards, EcoVadis assessment highlights Teijin Aramid’s sustainable innovation and a commitment to a greener future,” the Japanese company said in a press release.

Achieving high scores in environmental sustainability, ethical practices, and labour and human rights, this recognition underscores the growing importance of sustainable business practices in global markets.

“We are honoured by the EcoVadis gold medal recognition, which underscores our unwavering commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility,” Peter ter Horst, CEO of Teijin Aramid said.

“This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our entire team to integrate environmental stewardship, ethical practices, and social responsibility into every aspect of our operations,” he added.

This award recognises significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions by adopting a circular economy model in aramid fibre recycling.
