Freudenberg Performance Materials Launches Tacnera At EWMA 2026
Freudenberg Performance Materials has launched Tacnera, a new technology for silicone-based foam dressings, at EWMA 2026, aimed at enhancing performance in advanced wound care.
Tacnera integrates polyurethane foam, proprietary coating technology and silicone gel to address the long-standing challenge between strong adhesion and skin protection. The system enables the use of two silicones within a single dressing, ensuring firm fixation at the edges while maintaining gentle contact with sensitive wound areas.
The solution is designed to improve patient comfort, ease of removal and overall clinical reliability, while offering manufacturers a competitive edge in the premium wound care segment. It also provides a ready-to-market platform, helping reduce development time and costs.
Freudenberg will showcase the technology along with other advanced wound care materials at the event in Bremen from May 6–8, with European market approval for Tacnera expected in summer 2026.
