Grasim Appoints Vadiraj Kulkarni As Cellulosic Fibres Head
Grasim Industries Limited has named Vadiraj Kulkarni as the Business Head (Designate) for its Cellulosic Fibres division, effective October 1, 2024.
Harikrishna Agarwal will remain the Managing Director of Grasim Industries and Business Director for Cellulosic Fibres, ensuring a smooth leadership transition over the coming months, with Kulkarni gradually assuming his new role.
Vadiraj Kulkarni joins Grasim Industries from ITC Limited, where he served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Paperboards and Specialty Papers business, a ₹8,000 crore segment with four manufacturing plants across India. With over 28 years of experience in P&L management, operations, and manufacturing across various sectors, including Agro products, Tobacco, and the Pulp and Paper divisions, Kulkarni has a proven track record of driving growth and enhancing profitability.
Under his leadership, ITC’s Paperboards and Specialty Papers division doubled its revenue and significantly increased its margins, making it the largest pulp and paperboard company in India. Kulkarni is a Chemical Engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, class of 1996.
