Heimtextil 2025: Record Visitors And Future-Ready Textile Trends

Heimtextil 2025 concluded on a high note, setting new benchmarks for the global textile industry. With participation from 142 nations, over 3,000 exhibitors, and more than 50,000 visitors, the four-day event held at Messe Frankfurt confirmed its position as the world’s leading trade fair for home and contract textiles. The exhibition halls were abuzz with innovative textile collections, innovative materials and sustainable interior design solutions.
Exhibitor and Visitor Growth Highlight Resilience
Heimtextil 2025 recorded a remarkable 10% increase in visitors compared to the previous edition. The event also saw 96% international participation from exhibitors, with representations from leading countries such as China, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Germany and Italy. Visitor internationality reached 84%, with notable growth in markets like the United States, India, South Korea and the UAE.
Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt, emphasized the importance of resilience and market presence in challenging economic conditions, stating, “Heimtextil enables industry and retail to access new markets and actively shape global competition.”
Heimtextil Trends 25/26: A Visionary Roadmap
Under the theme Future Continuous, Alcova Milano curated the Heimtextil Trends 25/26, offering industry players insights into contemporary colours, materials and production techniques. Key trend themes – Naturally Uneven, Radically Restructured, and Regenerative – addressed consumer demand for durable, sustainable and high-quality products.
Design Excellence by Patricia Urquiola
Renowned designer Patricia Urquiola’s among-us installation was a standout feature, showcasing the transformative potential of textile-based interior solutions. The immersive space blended functionality with aesthetics, inspiring decision-makers in hospitality and retail to embrace innovative room concepts.
Knowledge Hub for Industry Transformation
The event’s extensive content programme featured over 140 lectures, workshops and guided tours, focusing on topics like AI-driven design, circular production processes and sustainable business practices. Olaf Schmidt, Vice President of Textiles & Textile Technologies, highlighted Heimtextil’s role as a global hub for lifelong learning and innovation in textile interior design.
