We’re Bringing Real Innovation With Fabrics That Are Weightless, Breathable And Sustainable: Jayesh Saxena

Reliance has enabled us to integrate recycled polyester fibres and CiCLO technology into innovative textiles, says Jayesh Saxena
Alok Industries Limited, a key player in the home textile segment and now a part of Reliance Industries, made a grand impression at Heimtextil 2025 with its innovative and sustainable offerings.
Speaking about their participation, Jayesh Saxena, CEO – Home Textile Division of Alok Industries, highlighted the company’s dedication to innovation, sustainability and a seamless integration of Reliance’s resources.
Alok Industries returned to Heimtextil with a full-fledged showcase, presenting an impressive range of bed and bath linen products. “We are utilizing the complete synergy of Reliance Recron – Reliance Performance Fibres,” Saxena stated. This includes blending performance fibres with cotton to create superior products such as bed linens, blankets and throws.
One of the standout launches was the sumptuous living towel, crafted from Kasturi cotton, India’s premium branded cotton. “This is the first Kasturi cotton-branded towel introduced at Heimtextil,” Saxena noted. He emphasized that the towels are a luxurious offering with superior absorbency and plushness, comparable to global premium cottons but priced more competitively.
Sustainability was a central theme of Alok’s showcase. The company introduced products like recycled cotton branded as LOOP and BioFab technology using CiCLO biodegradable polyesters. “Reliance, being a manufacturer of recycled polyester fibres and CiCLO technology, has enabled us to integrate these into innovative textiles,” said Saxena. The brand also highlighted its use of organic cotton.
Alok Industries has been focusing on non-chemical innovations to create fabrics that resonate with customers. Saxena explained, “We’re bringing real innovation by constructing fabrics that are weightless, breathable and sustainable without relying on chemical finishes.” Products such as Batiste weave fabrics, bamboo-Egyptian cotton blends and garment-washed sheets are part of this innovative lineup.
The company is aggressively targeting the US market, which remains its largest revenue contributor. “We aim to bring back customers we’ve lost in the past,” said Saxena. Alok is also expanding into UK, Europe, Middle East and Israel, focusing on strengthening strategic partnerships.
Currently, 50% of Alok’s business comes from the US, with the rest split across other markets. However, Saxena envisions a 70-30 split favouring the US in the near future, driven by untapped capacity and growing demand.
The initial response at Heimtextil has been overwhelmingly positive. “We had over 60-70 meetings scheduled even before the event started,” Saxena stated. Visitors noted a significant difference in Alok’s presentation this year, attributed to improved product innovations and the strategic synergy with Reliance Industries.
“Reliance is a commodity manufacturer, but the way we’ve integrated their fibres into collections like Recron is futuristic. This level of control and innovation is unparalleled,” Saxena remarked.
With its vertically integrated operations, from ginning to finished products, and a renewed focus on sustainability and innovation, Alok Industries is poised to strengthen its position in the global home textile market.
“Heimtextil 2025 has set the tone for what lies ahead – a promising future built on innovation, sustainability and collaboration,” concluded Saxena.
