HeiQ Names Julien Born CEO For Climate-Positive Fibre Venture
HeiQ has announced the appointment of Julien Born as the CEO of HeiQ AeoniQ Holding, an independent subsidiary established to attract investors and value-chain partners. With an ambitious multi-year plan to scale up the world’s first climate-positive cellulosic filament fibre, this move signals a significant step forward.
Bringing with him unique executive leadership experience and a wealth of expertise in the textile industry, Julien most recently served as the CEO of The LYCRA Company, a renowned global leader in textile innovation.
HeiQ AeoniQ holds transformative potential as a sustainable fibre technology across diverse industries such as apparel, footwear, automotive, home textiles and aeronautics. Positioned for its first commercial production by the end of 2025, the initiative will commence operations at a 20,000 sq. metre manufacturing facility in Portugal, part of an €80 million investment.
